Clipcast Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Clipcast ("Clipcast", "we", "us", or "our"), a social media scheduling and publishing tool operated by Prolific Automation, collects, uses, and protects information when you use Clipcast. By creating a Clipcast account or connecting a social platform to Clipcast, you agree to this Policy.

1. Who operates Clipcast

Clipcast is built and operated by Prolific Automation, an AI automation company based in Grand Blanc, Michigan, United States. Questions about Clipcast or this Policy can be sent to support@prolificautomation.ai.

2. Information Clipcast collects

• Account information — the email address and login credentials you use to create your Clipcast account.
• Connected-platform data — when you connect an account (such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, or X) to Clipcast, Clipcast stores the access tokens that platform issues so Clipcast can publish or schedule the content you choose. Clipcast never receives or stores your password for those platforms.
• Content you create — the videos, images, captions, and schedules you upload to Clipcast in order to publish them.
• Usage data — basic technical and log information (such as device, browser, and timestamps) used to operate and secure Clipcast.

3. How Clipcast uses your information

Clipcast uses your information only to provide the service: to authenticate you, to publish or schedule the content you explicitly choose, to display your connected accounts and drafts, and to maintain the security and reliability of Clipcast. Clipcast does not sell your personal information.

4. How Clipcast handles TikTok data

When you connect your TikTok account to Clipcast, Clipcast uses TikTok's official Content Posting API and TikTok's secure OAuth flow. In plain terms:

• Clipcast accesses only what is needed to publish or schedule the content you choose. Clipcast never posts to TikTok without your action.
• Clipcast never sees your TikTok password — authentication is handled entirely by TikTok.
• You can disconnect your TikTok account from Clipcast at any time, which revokes Clipcast's access immediately.
• Clipcast does not use your TikTok content or data for anything other than the posting you request, and does not sell it.

5. Third-party platforms

The same principles apply to every platform you connect to Clipcast (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and X). Your use of those platforms is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Clipcast acts only on the actions you take inside Clipcast.

6. Data sharing

Clipcast shares your information only with the platforms you connect (to fulfill the posting you request) and with infrastructure providers that host Clipcast under confidentiality obligations. Clipcast does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

7. Data retention and deletion

Clipcast retains your information for as long as your Clipcast account is active. You can disconnect any platform at any time, and you can request deletion of your Clipcast account and associated data by emailing support@prolificautomation.ai. When you delete a connection or your account, the related access tokens are revoked and removed.

8. Security

Clipcast protects your data with industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted transport and restricted access to stored tokens. No system is perfectly secure, but Clipcast works to keep your information protected.

9. Your rights

You may access, correct, or delete your Clipcast information, and you may withdraw a platform connection at any time. To exercise these rights, contact support@prolificautomation.ai.

10. Children

Clipcast is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and Clipcast does not knowingly collect their information.

11. Changes to this Policy

Clipcast may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
